Islamic Studies at BS level is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the diverse range of live experiences and textual traditions of Muslims as they are articulated in various countries and regions throughout the world. By considering the value of Islamic studies, the course is being taught at intermediate level. At intermediate level the course is offered as compulsory as well as Elective subject. This Institution has also been offering this course as a compulsory subject in all BS disciplines since 2010. This institute has also been producing Masters Scholars since 1989. The underlying purpose of teaching this subject to the students is to impress them with the richness of Islamic culture, heritage and civilization and the role played by Islamic ideology in guiding the Muslims of the Subcontinent towards their most cherished goal of an independent home land, Pakistan. Students in Islamic Studies are developing both: a comprehensive knowledge of Islamic intellectual history and religious thought, as well as mastery in the field of specialization.
