Career Brief:

Dr. Qurat Ul Ain is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, Government College Women University Sialkot. She obtained her PhD degree in Zoology in 2019 from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Her field of specialization is Reproductive Physiology/Neuroendocrinology. The research interests includes reproductive toxicology, endocrinology, herbal contraceptives, public health concerns for maternal and child health with focus on MDGs. Currently, six MS students are working under her supervision on various endocrine disruptors affecting fertility regulation, by using rat and fish models. She has published 13 research articles in well reputed international journals. Her main focus is reproductive health and population control through most effective ways. She has worked as Research associate for 3 years (2015-2018) in Reproductive physiology laboratory, Dept. of Animal Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, working on screening contraceptive activities of various herbal extracts using animal model. She has served as IPFP fellow (2020-2021) in Zoology dept. of GCWUS. She is also Principal Investigator of SRGP project awarded by HEC that is in progress and will be completed soon.

  • Principal Investigator (2020-2021): SRGP Project entitled “Assessment of Therapeutic Potential of Rumex Hastatus Extract towards Reproductive Anomalies Induced by Tricloson Exposure Using Rat Model.”
  • Research Associate (2015-2018) in Reproductive Physiology Lab, Department of Animal Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
