In an unprecedented moment that etched itself into the annals of GCWUS, the Department of English marked a significant milestone in its history — the grand launch of its Special Edition Magazines breaking new ground in both its traditional printed edition and its innovative electronic format. This extraordinary endeavor unfolded the tireless efforts undertaken by the final-year students of the BS English Regular and SSDP program (2019-2023) as they embarked on their transformative journey through the captivating realm of "Introduction to Stylistics." The ceremony began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor (Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar) and other distinguished guests including the Dean of Social Sciences (Dr. Yasir Nawaz Manj), Dean of Natural Sciences (Dr. Zarrin Fatima Rizvi), Registrar GCWUS (Madam Attiya Almas), Controller of Examinations and Chief Security Officer (Muhammad Gulshan Aslam), Director QEC and ORIC (Mr. Ijaz Ahmed) along with reputable Academic and Administrative Heads to name a few were a part of this enigmatic experience. We extend our thanks to In-charge Library Mr. Nusrat Ali for being a part of our event by helping us in E- launch through the university’s Library portal. After welcoming guests, the event was initiated with the recitation of the Holy Quran. An introduction to the project was given, highlighting the Magazines: Stylistic Spectrum and Aesthetics of Expressions. The audience was illuminated via multimedia of the journey that led to such creative manifestations. Following the highlights, Student Editors: Hareem Sohail and Tahseen Arshad were called on stage to articulate their highs and lows during this adventure. Then came the moment of revelation when the cloak of mystery was lifted and the Worthy Vice Chancellor accompanied by all dignitaries officially inaugurated both the magazines. Subsequent to that momentous occasion, the worthy Vice Chancellor graced the stage to express profound admiration for the unwavering devotion displayed by the esteemed Chairperson of the English Department, Dr. Muhammad Rashid Hafeez. She encouraged the establishment of this new tradition by continuing the annual magazine publication in the years to come. In a resounding testament to excellence, the Vice Chancellor also commended the remarkable ingenuity of the Project Incharge, Ms. Shahida, as well as the relentless efforts of the students, who collectively ignited a spark of brilliance., handing the certificates and motivated them to keep progressing. The event concluded with the Vice Chancellor and the magazine team having the cake-cutting ceremony.
