The auspicious occasion of the Quaid e Azam day under the topic was celebrated with great devotion and vehement to pay homage to the Father of the nation and great leader at government College Women University Sialkot under the supervision of worthy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rukhsana Kausar. The event was organized on MS-Teams online by the Fabian Society and department of Political Science. The online event aimed at making the students aware of inspiring past and the ultimate sacrifices rendered by Quaid e Azam to get success in constructing a separate country. A large number of university students and faculty members attended the program. Fatima Rasheed hosted the program, Namal recited verses from the Holy Quran and Zainub Bukhari presented hadiya e Naat. Head of the political science department Dr.M.Muzaffar Hussain welcomed the chief guest honorable Vice-Chancellor and the audience. He shared his valuable views about the efforts of Muhammad Ali Jinnah in making Pakistan. He paid homage and salute to his hard work despite having grave health issues. Dr Shagufta Firdous Director Students Affairs highlighting eminent features of the personality of Quaid e Azam and paid homage to father the nation in form of a poem. Students, Uswa Seher ,Ishrat Fatima and Reeba Bibi from the Political Science department delivered speeches to pay tribute to the founder of Pakistan. Dr Farzana Syed, faculty member from Political Science department highlighted the great personality of Muhammad Ali Jinnah as a politician and barrister and threw light on different aspects of Quaid’s life and laid great emphasis on the way he practiced his thoughts and actions in every aspect of life. The worthy Vice-Chancellor in her address appreciated the Fabian society and the organizers. She reflected upon versatile personality of the founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah and his love for youth in particular students. She also made students aware of the fact that this country was raised on the world map after many sacrifices and struggle by Quaid and she advised students to follow the doctrine of Unity, Faith and Discipline as propagated by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Students were high in spirits throughout the program and showed their utmost love for their country and respect for the great leader. The celebration of the Quaid -e- Azam day was a befitting tribute to the father of the nation as well as an occasion which imbued the young students with a renewed spirit of love, devotion and service to the beloved country.
