To gain knowledge about the global importance of parasite disease epidemiology and parasitic drug resistance in animals and human a webinar organized by Dr. Asma Waheed Qureshi, In charge of Zoological Society, GCWUS on Friday, 2nd April 2021, at 3:00pm in collaboration of ITSC, GCWUS. Dr. Umer Naveed Chaudhry, Research fellow Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Surrey UK, was the speaker and Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar, Vice Chancellor, GC Women University Sialkot was the Chief Guest of the Webinar.
The webinar was started with the recitation of some verses from Holy Quran. Dr. Asma Waheed Qureshi hosted the event and introduced participants with the research and educational background of Dr. Umer Naveed Chaudhry. After that Dr. Umer Naveed provided updated information about parasitic diseases and their global importance. He also provided information about causes of spread of parasite and drug resistance develop against them in humans and animals. Students showed keen interest and asked relevant questions from speaker after his lecture. Then Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar appreciated the guest speaker and thanked him for giving valuable information from research point of view to the students and faculty of GCWUS. She also offered Dr. Umer to visit GC Women University Sialkot and for research Collaboration.
