Event Details:
Department of sociology has recently visited Punjab University. An academic session was held at Institute of social and cultural studies. The aim of this one to one interaction with faculty and students was an academic capacity building of the students in academia and research.
Afterward delegation of GCWUS visited the main library of Punjab University. Library staff was there to guide the students and briefed them about each and every section and briefly told students how they could use this library books. The newspaper section was very vast, the librarian told that here a student can get all newspapers since independence but due to the rare newspaper they are under more observation and show to the special delegates. Altogether it was a great learning experience for the students as well as for the faculty of the sociology department.
