Global warming badly affecting our environment, to avoid devastation a massive tree plantation drive desire. In this regard, Department of Environmental Sciences along with the collaboration of Plantation Committee and Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences GC Women University (GCWU) Sialkot launched tree Plantation drive on 22nd March 2019. In this campaign university different departments: Botany and Zoology, took part
Prof Dr Hafiz Khalil kick started the plantation drive by planting the Araucaria sapling at lawn of GC Women University Sialkot. He said plant trees as much as possible s part of prime minister’s plantation drive and urged faculty members and students to vigorously take part in the campaign to make the entire project a complete success.
Dean Faculty of Natural sciences Dr Haris Rasheed planted planted Araucaria and advised that we must made efforts to defend our environment because the future of our next generations is linked with green Pakistan. He said, I hoped that the students and community will continue green Pakistan’s campaign as a regular feature.
