Fabian Society under supervision of Directors students Affairs and Department of Political science conducted on August, 2022 the seminar focusing on the role of students in enhancing the stability of Pakistan. The auspicious occasion of Independence day was celebrated with great devotion and fervor to pay homage to our great land under the supervision of Dr.Shagufta Firdous Director Student Affairs Ms. Rabia Rohail, Dr. Tahira. The event aimed at making the students aware of their vital role in molding the country’s image towards a stable future. After the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat by Maira and Zarkaish, Tirzah Sumbal paid tribute to our national poet by presenting Kalam-e-Iqbal.
The hosts called upon Dr. Zarin Fatima (DEAN of Natural Sciences), Dr. Shagufta Firdous (Director of Student Affairs), chief guest Mr. Arshad Mehmood Mirza (Executive Director of Bedari Sialkot), Dr. Zahid Yaseen (Assistant Professor Political Science, and Ms. Hira Noureen (Vice President of Bedari Sialkot) on stage. After the welcome note given by Dr. Muzaffar Head of Political Science department, the faculty was also called to join the stage with the honorable guest for a group photo.
Mr. Arshad Mehmood Mirza gave his speech to share his views with the audience filled with students. His main focus was to enlighten students about the role in molding the country’s stability. The chief guest ended his speech with thank you remarks. Then Dr. Shagufta Fridous shared her views on the topic and moved towards the end sharing a thank you note. Dr. Shagufta also mentioned Ms. Rabia Rohail and Dr. Tahira for their great efforts in organizing the event.
The seminar ended with the chief guest receiving a shield from GCWUS as a token of gratitude. Students were high in spirits throughout the event and showed their utmost love for the country. The celebration of 75th Independence Day was a befitting tribute to every sacrifice laid for the country. The speeches imbued the students with a renewed spirit of love, devotion, and service to the nation.
