Ans:
Candidate who has passed Matriculation Examination with a 2nd division, is eligible to apply.

Q. What is the eligibility criteria of admission in FSc Pre-medical?
Ans:
For admission in FSc (Pre-Medical), the candidate must have passed her Matriculation Examination with the subject of Biology.

Q. What is the eligibility criteria of admission in FSc Pre-engineering?
Ans:
For admission in FSc (Pre-Engineering), the candidate must have passed her Matriculation Examination with the subject of Mathematics.

Q. What is age-limit to apply  Intermediate?

Age Limit should not exceed 21 years to apply for the admission in Intermediate.

Q. What is the eligibility criteria of admission in MS?
Ans:
As per HEC guidelines; Sixteen years of education, minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 in the semester system and 1st division in the annual system, subject test at par with NTS-GAT test and qualifying score will be 60%.

Ans:
Government College Women University, Sialkot offers M.A/M.Sc.-2 Years program in the following faculties, duly for female students.

Q. What is the criteria to apply for the admission of MA/MSc (2 years)?
Ans:
Candidates seeking admission to the M.A/M.Sc. Classes must have B.A /ADP/ B.Sc. (14 years of education) from any public/private institution at least in 2nd division. Private students are also eligible to apply.

Q. Can a student apply in any faculty at the MA/MSc level?
Ans:
No. The students must have studied major subject B.A /ADP/ B.Sc. level (in which she is seeking admission).

Q. Can a student having a degree of ADP apply for MA/MSc Program?
Ans:
Students applying based on ADP (semester system) 14 years of education must obtain a degree equivalence certificate from degree equivalence cell in the office of the controller of examinations, GC Women University Sialkot.

Ans:

Q. How can the marks be converted for the students of the semester system?
Ans:
Conversion of Marks under Semester System the Marks of all those graduates who have passed their examination under Semester System will be multiplied by 0.85 to equalize their marks with the Annual System. Marks of the candidates holding 3 years BA/B. Sc (Hons.) or equivalent degree will be multiplied with 0.90 for admission.

Q.  Can a student apply in different disciplines with the same form?
Ans:
The candidate can choose more than one group on the same Admission Form but will have to deposit a separate processing fee for each group.

Q. Can a student apply on both open merit and Reserved seat with the same form?
Ans:
The candidate can choose the categories of Open Merit and Reserved Seats in the same Admission Form but will have to deposit a separate processing fee for each category.

Q. Can the admission be cancelled at any time?
Ans:
The University has the right to cancel the Admission or take any disciplinary action against the candidate providing incorrect/fake information in the Admission Form.

Q. How can I attach my documents with the form?
Ans
: The candidate must upload scanned copies of the required documents.

Q. How can I apply for degree equivalence?
Ans:
The prescribed Degree Equivalence Certificate Form is available in Degree Equivalence cell at Office of the Controller of Examinations.

Q. What are the things required for degree equivalence form?
Ans:
Course outline of the said degree program duly signed by the HOD of the concerned university, Scheme of study of said program duly attested by concerned University, Admission criteria of said program, Attested copy of Transcript, Copy Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), Receipt of fee payment of Rs. 2000/- for Degree equivalence certificate, Recent passport size photograph.

Q. How long it takes to get an equivalence certificate?
Ans:
Degree Equivalence Certificate will be issued within two weeks of the application by the office of the Controller of Examinations.

Q. Who will Issue Degree equivalence certificate?
Ans:
Degree Equivalence Cell in the office of the controller of examinations will issue Equivalence certificate to the applicant.

Q. what is criteria to apply for other province reserved seats?
Ans:
A candidate applying for the seat reserved on another province quota, the candidate must seek a nomination from the board of that province otherwise the form will not be entertained.

Q. Is there any quota for the minority?
Ans:
As per instructions of the Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab, Lahore, 02% seats are reserved for minority quota.

Q. What is an age limit to apply for the BS program?
Ans:
Age limit for a candidate applying against BS is 24 years.

Q. What is an age limit to apply for MA/MSc program?
Ans
: Age limit for a candidate applying against MA/MSc program is 26 years.

Q. What is an age limit to apply for SSDP?
Ans:
There will be no age limit for SSDP candidates.

Q: Can a student change discipline after having admission?
Ans:
The students seeking to change discipline can do so within 7 working days after commencement of classes, provided that they have applied for admission in that discipline at the time of admission, and that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of the new discipline and fall within the merit.

Q. what are the requirements to apply to the sports quota?
Ans:
Student applying on sports quota must have a divisional level certificate and she is to pass sports test at university before admission.

Q. what are the requirements to apply on the Co-curricular quota?
Ans:
Student applying on Co-curricular quota must have a divisional level certificate and she is to pass the test at university before admission.

Q. How can the admission fee be submitted to university?
Ans:
Submit the fee through Bank account or bank draft, challan form and upload its receipt.

Q. How Can I be assured that my admission form is duly submitted?
Ans:
The submitted application(s) shall be acknowledged by the email on the applicant’s given email ID, mentioning the Date, form no. department name, or candidate name. Moreover, upon successful submission of a form, a receipt will be generated by the system for the candidate’s record.

Q. what should I do if I do not receive the confirmation email that my admission form is duly submitted?
Ans:
The missing candidate (if any), i.e., who did not get the confirmation email, or whose receipt was not generated may contact, ITSC, GCWUS before the date of display of merit list.

Q. How can I see the merit list?
Ans:
Merit list will be generated and displayed on the University website and also posted on the notice board outside the main gate of the University.

Q: What if a candidate (having name in first merit list) fail to submit her fee in time?
Ans:
If any candidate of 1st merit list does not submit dues, due to any reason in the prescribed time limit, her name would be included in 3rd merit list, on the availability of seat and the request of the candidate.

Q. What is the general merit formula for BS, BBA and BFA Programs?
Ans:
For BS,BBA,BFA Program:

Merit %age = A + B + C + 20 D +20 Hafiz e Quran X 100 / (E+F+G)
A = 1/4 Obtained marks in Matric
B =Marks obtained in inter or equivalent
C = Marks obtained in the subject in which candidate (is) seeking admission D = 20 marks of preferred subject other than the one seeking admission
E = 1/4 Total marks of Matric
F = 1/4 Total marks of inter
G = Total Subject Marks

Ans:
For MA/MSc:
