Let me Introduce ‘Myself, Ms. Madiha Afzal’ through this short summary of my professional career which, precisely, started back in 2009. I, began, my career as a Lecturer in English right after my Masters in English in 2008. Firstly, I was appointed in Govt. Dolat Nagar College, Gujrat. Meanwhile, I did my Masters in Political Science and Diploma in Teaching of English as a foreign language. In 2011, I got transferred to Govt. Post Graduate College, Sialkot which was updated to Govt. College Women University, Sialkot in 2012 and till date I have been serving here as a vigilant and dedicated teacher. In 2016, I was selected as an Assistant Professor by Punjab Public Service Commission and was posted in GCWUS again.
As an Educationist, I always focused on updating and upgrading my teaching, pedagogy and andragogy skills. Considering the value Linguistics I obtained my M.Phil. Degree in Applied Linguistics in 2014 and started teaching linguistics along with English language and Literature. Back in 2018, my dream for getting International scholarship came true and I got Fulbright scholarship as a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at University of Oregon, United States as an Urdu and Hindi instructor. Which was a turning point of my life, since this experience opened new doors for exposure to International cultures and people belonging to different ethnicities. Moreover, I became the part of International Cultural Service Program at University of Oregon and earned the experience of presenting Pakistan’s History, Culture, Art and Politics to different forums like Elementary and High Schools, Senior Houses, and Museums.
