27 October Kashmir Black Day referred “Youm e Siyah” is equally observed in Pakistan in solidarity with the Kashmiri Nation. Government College Women University Sialkot arranged a program on this day to show support for the Kashmiri people.
Faculty members from different disciplines and students attended the program. Miss Rabia Naveed (Associate Lecturer) hosted the program and welcomed all respected guests and attendees.
The session formally started with National Anthem. Khoula Azhar recited the verses of the Holy Quran and Kulsoom Dilawar presented Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (SAW). Maham Arshad Presented Kalam-e-Iqbal.
Dr. Shugufta Firdous( Director Students Affairs )gave her remarks on Black day in Kashmir.
Dr. Zahid Yaseen explains why this day is referred to as Youm-e-Siyah in Kashmir. What are our responsibilities in this regard? He shared his views on the violation articles implementation and tells the student that Kashmir is not an issue but a Cause, and for this cause, we are fighting since our inception. At the end of the program Guest of honor, Dean of arts, Social Sciences, and administrative sciences Professor Dr. Khalil Ahmed gave his remarks and explained the importance of Kashmir and their right to determination. He explained that this right of determination is approved by United Nation, and this issue is highlighted in international forums already, but we need the support of the whole Muslim block to get Kashmir free and show solidarity and support to the Kashmiri nation and he prayed for peace and independence of Kashmir.
