A “One Day National Symposium on Modern Trends in Physics Research” was held by the Department of Physics, Government College Women University Sialkot on May 11, 2017 through the financial support from PHEC.
The main theme of the symposium was to elucidate the different fields of Physics and to motivate the students towards the research in different areas of Physics. Physics id the most basic of sciences and its concepts and techniques underpin the progress of all other subjects of sciences. Physic is known as the key subject in the development of modern technology said the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farhat Saleemi.
Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Vice Chancellor Abbottabad University of Science & Technology, Professor Dr. Fazal-e-Aleem, Dean Faculty of Science, The University of Lahore, Dr. Akhtar Hussain, Pricipal Scientist, Theoretical Division of Physics, PINSTECH, Islamabad and Professor Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed, Director Division of Science and Technology, University of Education, Lahore were among the prominent speakers.
While speaking to the audience, the Vice Chancellor Dr. Saleemi appreciated the efforts of Chairperson PHEC. The newly established GC Women University Sialkot could not organize such a Grand National level symposium without financial support from PHEC.
