A seminar on “Covid-19 and Vaccination Campaign in Italy at Glance” was successfully organized by Dr. Asma Waheed Qureshi, Chairperson, Department of Zoology and Convener CIE Committee on 22nd November, 2021. Prof. Gloria Taliani, Director of Clinic of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, was the Guest Speaker and Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar, Vice Chancellor, GC Women University Sialkot was the Chief Guest. The seminar was started by the recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan and Italy. Mr Sohaib (ORIC) hosted the event and introduced the speaker with her clinical and research experience of Infectious diseases. After that Prof. Gloria Taliani delivered a comprehensive lecture on prevalence of Covid-19 in Italy and how this pandemic affected the overall life. She also provided information about the control of this challenging situation by Vaccination campaign. Faculty members and students asked relevant questions from the speaker at the end of lecture. After this informative session, Dr. Asma Waheed Qureshi shared her valuable views regarding awareness and importance of vaccination to deal with Covid-19. She concluded the session and paid special thanks to the Chief Guest, Guest Speaker, faculty members and all the participants for their active participation.
